Creating flexible, open plan spaces for hotels

 

Interesting article in Business Insider about the future of hotel design. Hospitality designers and architects are now reworking existing spaces to not only meet social distancing measures but to provide greater flexibility. For many years, hotel chains that we have worked with have wanted to construct open plan environments for guests. While working with Holiday Inn’s Brentwood hotel, for example, we created an open lobby area, a cohesive space which offered guests the flexibility to eat, drink, work and meet.
