From the reception, through to the public areas and the bedrooms, they have a similar ‘uniform’ feel. While these properties are largely governed by brand standards, there is scope for creating slight nuances to suit a specific property. However, the overall objective of these hotels is to create an inviting environment for guests who, for the main part, are simply looking for a bed for the night. While ‘uniform’ these rooms are decorated to promote relaxation and calm and the furniture is positioned to promote security and comfort. So, while these hotels may appear ‘cookie cutter’ a lot of thought has been put into the detail before it is duplicated across all properties.
