A look ahead to 2020!

During 2019 we carried out a huge number of refurbishments, from small scale renovations to larger projects with clients who operate multiple sites. As pub and restaurant companies across the country continue to enhance their offering, we have collaboratively developed solutions to meet individual objectives, from transforming small bar areas to creating flexible dining spaces. Working across a myriad of different projects for clients such as Wells & Co, Marston’s and Admiral Taverns has undoubtedly strengthened our portfolio, and we have a firm understanding of the trends which are driving the pub and restaurant market today.

Equally, our work with both individual hotels and large hotel brands such as Holiday Inn and Dalata has increased, and we ended the decade successfully completing the first phase of work on The Clayton Hotel, Manchester, our single biggest contract ever.

The incredible uptake of alternative accommodation offerings, including Airbnb and budget hotels, has undoubtedly challenged the traditional hotel model and forced big brands to rethink their offering. However, the hotel market remains strong and investment in refurbishment remains high. And it isn’t just the hospitality industry. Throughout the forthcoming year we are looking forward to strengthening our partnerships with golf clubs and educational facilities further, helping them transform the profitability of their spaces.
